We have taken a workshop series that was first delivered in-person face-to-face and transitioned it to an online approach so entrepreneurs and small businesses from all corners of regional Australia are not disadvantaged by their postcode.

What equipment do I need to participate?
Participants will need a decent laptop or personal computer with sound, a microphone so we can hear you and a webcam so we can see you. Headphones will be an advantage if you want to keep the noise down at your end.
A good, reliable internet connection is also critical. Contact us if you’d like to do a quick test.
Which platform are we learning and why?
Participants will learn how to use the popular Squarespace website building platform.
We have been using Squarespace since 2014 and regionalrising.com.au is built with Squarespace. We have built dozens of websites on the platform and supported many people with different levels of digital literacy to build a website with their own hands!
Squarespace is template driven (ideal for learners) and is well known for its stunning designs. Importantly, the learning curve is very accessible for people who are comfortable using a laptop/computer and it is affordable.
It requires next to no IT “know how” and provides great learning resources and support by email and live chat.
Do I need to be good with computers to participate?
You don’t need to be “good” but it is important that participants are comfortable using their laptop or computer.
Common tasks we will perform include typing, using a web browser, and accessing, editing and saving documents and images on your computer and/or USB stick.
What should I expect?
You can expect a fun and rewarding learning experience with a relaxed vibe.
There will be materials for you to read before the first week to help you prepare, weekly groups sessions and regular 1:1 catch ups for participants with their instructor.
Can I bring a friend for support?
Yes, you can bring a friend at no extra cost to support you to build your website or provide moral support.
Do you offer a 1:1 course if I do not want to be part of a group?
Yes, we also offer 1:1 programs. Please contact us for details and pricing.
What are the overall costs?
Our group course costs $950 per website which covers our time to deliver six weeks of tuition as well as the one-on-one coaching sessions in between.

The course does not include:
your annual subscription to Squarespace to have your website hosted on its platform. At the time of writing (Jan 2024) a personal website costs $264/year if you pay month to month (it’s 27% cheaper if you can afford to pay the annual cost upfront. ie. less than $200). Business and Commerce websites cost more.
the cost of a website domain name. You can bring your own domain if you have one or you can register one through us. A .com.au domain costs around $50 for a two year period.
