What we do.
Regional Rising supported entrepreneurs in the communities of Broken Hill and Wentworth to better understand how drones, virtual reality (VR) and 360 degree videos can be used to enhance their brands.
STEM4Sunraysia event - students in teams pitching their solutions to an industry judging panel.
Regional Rising can support regional, rural and remote communities to establish a sustainable code club.
Workshops
Delivered by Leighton and Paul, with support from partners, our workshops and events cover all types of entrepreneurship, marketing and technologies.
These include, but are not limited to, building websites and online stores (e-commerce), shooting 360 video, using drones, reaching new customers by marketing through social media platforms, collaborative cloud platforms, cloud accounting platforms, video conferencing, productivity (task /time management and tracking), video editing and publishing, marketing and much more.
STEM & Problem Solving programs in schools
We run entrepreneurship events for secondary students – similar to the STEM4Sunraysia program we ran in 2019 and 2021 in conjunction with SuniTAFE and Northern Mallee LLEN, where we connect students with industry to solve real business problems.
Students then present their solutions to a panel of industry experts on the second day of the event for judging. This program has attracted attention as it helps communities cultivate a talent pipeline and educate students about what’s on offer for them locally, which goes some way towards reducing the need for them to pack up and move to a capital city to seek opportunities.
